Biography Of Mufti Muhammad Waseem Ziyai
Allama Mufti Muhammad Waseem Ziyai (Zaid Sharafuh) was born on November 12, 1974, in Karachi, Pakistan. His caste is Memon (Bantwa). In 1997, he completed the Dars-e-Nizami (Islamic scholastic curriculum) from Darul Uloom Amjadia, one of the most esteemed religious institutions of Ahl-e-Sunnat in Karachi, Pakistan.
After completing his studies, he served as a teacher in the Dars-e-Nizami department of the same institution for 10 years. Since January 25, 1999, he has been serving as the Khateeb (orator) and Imam of Badami Masjid, Mithadar, Karachi. Prior to this, he held the position of Khateeb at Mohammadi Masjid, Mithadar, Karachi, for four years.
On February 13, 1999, he entered into the bond of marriage. In 2000, he founded Markaz-ul-Uloomil-Islamia, which, by the grace of Allah, continues to provide religious services. Hundreds of scholars (ulama) and Hafiz-e-Quran have graduated from this institution. He started issuing fatwas (Islamic legal rulings) in 2003.
He has also been a member of the Executive Council of Tanzeem-ul-Madaris Pakistan. Currently, he serves as the Nazim-e-Aala (Chief Administrator) of Barkati Foundation Pakistan. Additionally, he holds the position of head administrator (Mohtamim) at multiple religious institutions, including Markaz-ul-Uloomil-Islamia, Mithadar; Madrasa Abi Nasr Falak, Mewa Shah; and Darul Uloom Barkatia, Gulshan-e-Iqbal. Alongside these responsibilities, he continues to teach at Markaz-ul-Uloomil-Islamia.
